mission

Galerie Katapult sees itself as a lively place for communication and encounters with art in a relaxed atmosphere and presents Swiss and international contemporary art in changing group and individual exhibitions. With its exhibitions, Galerie Katapult brings its customers, curators and critics closer to the career and work of the artists shown and shows a rich spectrum of different aspects of artistic creation. Galerie Katapult regularly takes part in international art fairs.

Founded in 2008, the gallery is now managed by Diana Vogel. After studying art history at the Universities of Basel and Zurich, she obtained a Master of Advanced Studies in cultural management from the University of Basel in 2010. In 2014, Diana Vogel joined the team at Galerie Katapult. She has been managing the gallery since 2022 and is supported by a team.

gallery spaces

On the ground floor of a building from the 1930s in the old town of Basel, ideally connected to public transport, the gallery Katapult offers four exhibition rooms and a vaulted cellar on 200 m2. The rooms are spacious, high and well lit, the transitions are open and offer large window fronts onto two streets. The infrastructure is supplemented by the most modern communication options, storage rooms and a small kitchen.
